Monica & Montu : Short Film

This is one of my favourite films. The story and shooting style came together so beautifully, thanks to a fabulous couple and a fantastic wedding.

I wanted this film to be cherished as a memory for years to come.  The story idea surfaced while reviewing the Super8 footage, masterfully shot by the talented Rachel Franco. It prompted me to think of the story as a flashback, as if it had been shot many years ago.

Great footage, a sincere voice over performed by the groom and a gorgeous music track made of this short film a piece to remember… for me as well.

Regarding the editing, I debated between using the film footage full frame or a frame within a frame. After some tests, I chose for this film to showcase an impactful transition from seeing a relatively small frame on black, to seeing HD footage full frame and back again.
