This film is a perfect example of the kind of storytelling we love creating. A wonderful cinematic recipe, fuelled by a couple’s amazing love.
We were immediately drawn by Stephanie and Manny’s story when we first met in November of 2010. Two people madly in love, working together, saving lives.
Their genuine natures and creative sprits gave way to the perfect filmmaking opportunity and we set off to create a metaphor that would frame their love for each other in the context of their life partnership.
Their wedding was the icing on the cake! Stephanie’s smile and Manny’s sense of humour turned their night into a once in a lifetime experience.
It was our immense pleasure to be a part of their amazing wedding. Special thanks to the York Region Paramedics, who helped make this film possible.
Shot on location in North York, Newmarket and Toronto (Eglinton Grand Theatre) with Kodak VISION3 500T Color Negative Film 7219 Super 8mm Film and Canon 5D Mark II Camera + Lenses. (nerd note: to properly enjoy sound design nuances and music track, use headphones or 2.1 channel sound system!)
